Greetings,

I tried routing a call via the AI receptionist to a call script but it does not work. Has anyone else tried this?

I tried it by configuring the call routing settings of the AI receptionist and also the agent instructions but the call won't be routed to the extension of the call script.

Is there another way to do this?

Thanks.

Hello,

It has worked for me when setting the CS to be associated with a Trunk, Dial Code or a DID. Can you share a bit more about your config?

Hello,

Thank you for the reply.

The call script was made with the Call Flow Designer, and is supposed to function as a custom voicemail pipeline: it uses a recording component that feeds its output to a c# script component which uploads the recording to aws s3 using presigned urls and invokes a private rest endpoint that draws the recording from s3, sends it to openai for transcription and summarization. Once processing is done the result gets forwarded to a slack channel.

From within the CFD I set its extension number to 9450, but the AI receptionist simply won’t route calls there.

Isn't the extension 9450 enough? Do we have to associate the call script with a trunk, DID, or dial code? In the first screenshot there is a banner that says "Call Processing Script is not registered" maybe this is the issue?

Thank you.

I think the not registered is probably the reason - Can you call the script directly as a normal user? If not, then that will need to be sorted first.

Yes, I can call the script directly as a normal user and it works without an issue.

I have sent you a direct message, so we can try and dig into that not registered and AI calling issue a little more.
