I have a customer with both IP phones, and some old analog phone connected to a V18 3cx using an ATA-device. My problems are:
- these analog extensions aren't listed on the company phone book
- I can add these to neither a ring group, nor a callQ
Anyone having a solution??

How have you configured the ATA devices, what model of ATA devices.

I am guessing your have setup a extension within 3CX, and configured these extension within the ATA

yes, of course. I have 1 Cisco ATA-191 and 1 Patton SN200/4JS4V on which these extensions are configured via the Advanced / Fax configuration page

So... these are Fax extensions, or "regular" extensions?

You wold not normally be adding a Fax extension to a Queue.

As @leejor mentioned, only use FAX extensions for an analogue FAX device connected to an FXS Gateway. If what you've connected to the FXS Gateway is an analogue telephone to receive normal calls then all you need to do is assign normal extensions to the FXS Gateway in the Management Console. Normal extensions can of course be added to Ring Groups/Call Queues and exist in the company phonebook(for IP Phones).

Hello Chris,
Ok, this makes sense, I didn't realize you could do so. I assumed that all analog extensions have to be defined as attached to the ATA and the only way to do so is on the FAX settings page. But now that you mention this, I'll make a try.
