API - Wallboard

Hello everyone!

My company uses the wallboard to manage the team, but it doesn't show all the information they need. So, we want to create our own dashboard, collecting the information through an API or something like that, to show users status, SLA and etc.
So far I've seen some old posts asking the same thing, and it seems that it wasn't possible at the time.
My question is:
It's still not possible to do that or with v18 now it is? Is there an REST API now?

There's no API to do this yet.

Otherwise, @jed and @VoIPTools both have modules for custom wallboards.

Unfortunately, the CDR feature doesn't provides all the information we need.

How Jed and VoIPTools managed to gather the information needed to create a custom wallboard? Are they 3cx partners and have access to an exclusive API or something like that?

No, they built their own API using old code that isn't accessible anymore.

As @Frederick Marcoux mentioned, we built a Relay application that is installed on the 3CX server. The Relay subscribes to the real-time 3CX events using the undocumented 3CX Call Control API. We then expose those events via SignalR. If you want to subscribe to the same events we use to build our wallboards, that is certainly an option.

Alternatively, you can wait for the new 3CX Gateway service. Frankly, 3CX has not offered any information about the purpose of this service, but I'm hoping/assuming it will enable us to subscribe to events using something like websockets or webhooks, but that is only a guess.

We build custom wallboard all day, every day. I'm confident we already have a wallboard that meets your needs.
