New to the phone side of things. If I have two PBX in different cities that are Bridged.... If I call the extension of someone at the other office is that considered long distance?

Why do not ask the question ?

Calls between bridge systems should be free.,

No. Any calls over a bridge use the internet, and there would be no charge as they don't pass through a provider (other than data usage, if measured). If the bridge call goes to another PBX, then out over trunks on that PBX, then, depending on any trunk charges, there may be costs involved. To another extension, no.

Depends on how far apart the two PBXs are . :)

Whether it's considered local or long distance is not the question. I assume you are concerned about billing. Unless you plan on billing yourself it doesn't touch any provider circuits in that scenario so there would be no cost.
