Or rename the recordings folder, create a new one with the permissions mirrored then all he has to do is copy is recovered wav from backup & recuva then convert.

I had a backup!!! Just started the conversion. Ill let you know how it goes. I have mixed both already converted files with the missing ones. Lets see how this pans out.

Conversion has finished, and it looks like it has worked. I can see all recordings now. Hopefully they will be there tomorrow.

No worries. Just curious - was your backup the latest pre v16? And did you have to set the parameter to force conversion?

Yes and yes. The backup was taken an hour before the upgrade, and was on 15.5 . And I didnt set the parameter in the initial upgrade, but to force the second conversion I did.
