Within the Voicemail section of the iOS app, it does not display the caller ID name, but it does show it in other places of the app. The Android app does not have this issue with the voicemail section. Running version 16.0.9

Has anyone else experienced this?

@Michael Menor
We'll check and let you know - thanks for reporting!

- what's the client version (as in Settings/About)?
- Is that number an local extension, bridged extension or an external number?
- If is an external number - it is a company contact, private contact or device (iOS) contact?
- If is a device contact, has your 3CX client access to device contacts?

@Vali_3CX to answer your questions
  • what's the client version (as in Settings/About)?
    • iOS: 16.1.8.110
    • Android: 16.7.6.105
  • Is that number an local extension, bridged extension or an external number?
    • The incoming caller is an external number calling a local extension
  • If is an external number - it is a company contact, private contact or device (iOS) contact?
    • It is not a contact in 3CX or on the iOS device
  • If is a device contact, has your 3CX client access to device contacts?
    • It is not a device contact

@Michael Menor

In this case, it looks the most likely that, while external caller number IS NOT in iOS device contacts, it IS in the Android device contacts - we checked the code, and if a display name is provided by the PBX, client will show it; if not, client will try to match it in device Contacts.

If you think it is not the case, then I will ask you by PM for an account on your PBX containing such voicemail to troubleshoot the client, would be quite easy to locate what/if to fix.

Thanks!

Negative, the external number that we tested does not exist in either iOS or Android devices.
