Hello, my license is going to expire in 2 weeks so I wanted to renew it from now so I will avoid any downtimes. When I visit the renew page at the website there are only 2 buttons Review and Add to Cart but both are disabled so I dont know what to do!

you have for now a v15.5, do you want to update to V16.2? this can be done for free until your licence is active, then you will be able to renew it after v16 upgrade

Try another browser - i.e. chrome

@Saqqara I tried chrome too but same thing.
@aws2p Sure I would like to update it.

In my Update Section at 3CX there is no update for any version

Should I login with SSH at the machine and do apt-get update / upgrade ? Or is there another way ?

you have a debian upgrade to apply, are you using debian 9 for now?

your pbx is local ? cloud ? running on Pi ?

It was debian 9. My machine is local.
I pressed the upgrade and I kinda fucked everything up :S I got a "3CX attempted to update your 3CX Debian OS at spiti360.3cx.eu from Debian 8 to 9 and failed." And now i cant login to the client at http://192.168.1.250:5000/#/login . I loged in to the machine and did a manual apt-get update / upgrade but still i cant login. Feels that I will kill myself :S

are you sure you really are on DB9 and not DB8, that 's certainly the reason why you have not been upgraded to V16.

Do you have a complete backup ? if so , then DL iso V16.2 and restore your config during reinstall

Sorry I wanted to say it was a debian 8 and now it got upgraded to debian 9. I have a backup of 3cx config. I will try to proceed with the installation. fingers crossed

yur pbx is not working at all since upgrade to DB9?
your pbx runs on dedicated computer ?

Yes it runs on a local machine ( different from one Im using ) in the office. The pbx is not working at all since the update.

I updated the 3cxpbx and I got an error about: "E: Sub-process /usr/bin/dpkg returned an error code (1)"

running sudo dpkg --configure -a

returns:

You can't log in MC ?

Btw thanks alot for your help. Really appreciate it.

Hi @spiti360

You were not allowed to proceed to V16 via the managment console because you were not on Debian 9. This is a requirement before you see more 3CX updates.

The update from the Management console to Debian 9 has been available for a while, but it will also fail now because Debian has finally moved their repositories to archive and the sources point to somewhere that does not exist.

You updated the PBX manually via command line but this will cause problems because it needs dependencies that require Debian 9. We would not allow the update exactly for this reason to prevent it from breaking compatibility.

You have a couple of options now:

1. Google upgrading Jessie to Stretch and modify your repos accordingly. Once you reach Stretch (debian 9) try to do apt update/upgrade and see if you can get the dependencies to load. Then reboot and hope for the best. You can also try this https://www.3cx.com/blog/docs/upgrading-debian/

2. Take a backup off of the machine, and start from scratch using our latest Debian ISO. You will have the option to restore during installation and you will start with a healthy base system.

As for renewing your license, I believe the reason you do not see this option is because your key is linked to a reseller. You should best contact them if that is the case.

Hello,
My 3CX expired yesterday (Sept 19,2019) and I cannot renew the free license.
Any help will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks a lot,
Dan.

I can't log on to the pBX portal as well. I can only log on to the license key webpage but I can't renew a free license.

@Dan Oteleanu

You should start your own thread instead of hijacking one but there shouldn't be any 'renewal' needed if you are on the free license. If it expired, it's because your not on v16 so I would recommend upgrading.

Sorry, I didn't know where to post my message.
I am on V16

That looks fine. Assuming you have internet access on that box you should see it renewed tomorrow.
