Solved Custom Template on Yealink T41S does not work

Hi all,

I tried to provision a custom template for our Yealink T41S. Wanted to change the following settings:

• voice.handset_send= 20
• voice.echo_cancellation = 0
• voice.vad = 0
• voice.cng = 0
• phone_setting.lcd_logo.mode = 0

I was reading the manual (https://www.3cx.com/docs/custom-ip-phone-templates/) and some forum threads, but the phone simply does not use my custom settings. Can anyone help me?

One more thing:
I never was able to really auto provision the Yealink 41S. The phone didn't find my local 3CX nor the other way around. Our Snom phones did find it easily. I'm provisioning the Yealink phones with the provision link stored to the auto-provisioning section of the Yealink settings.

Did you followed the extra steps for Yealink phones - Yealink-specific template changes https://www.3cx.com/docs/custom-ip-phone-templates/

Is the custom template assigned to the phone ?

If you highlight the phone under within the Phone tab, and click on '+Config' tab does it show you the custom template.

Yes I followed these steps, there's a part of it in my code above.
Yes, the Template is assigned to the phone, also get the red font in the phones section.

Well, I can't prove that this is the custom template. I can open the config there, searched for my custom settings "voice.handset_send" or "voice.vad" for example. No match.

But I see the same behavior when the standard template is assigned to the phone. I also tried to find the terms "voice.vad" or "voice.cng" as they are part of the standard template. Also no match.

It seems like the "+Config" only shows a part of the template on Yealink phones.

Sorry guys, it was my mistake! I somehow did not save the correct custom template. Everything works fine now!
