One of our clients is looking to fully disable the audio and video conferencing (using version 16) for the whole PBX. They would prefer to be able to disable both but would also be happy with just disabling the video conferencing.

I can't seem to find any documentation or examples of if this is possible. Is there an option for this somewhere on 3cx?

You mean, disable WebMeeting?

Yes, our client will be using Microsoft Teams instead of the 3CX WebMeeting functionality. The motive behind disabling the option is to avoid having the staff use the 3CX option instead of Teams making the support staffs' life easier not having to support both options.

I don't think there's a way to disable it completely. Maybe try using the rights?

Thank you @Frederick Marcoux. I didn't find anything under the user rights, but that did point me in the right direction.

Under Options --> Options for the Extension there is the option "Allow user to organize 3CX Webmeeting Video Conferences" (See Selection_070). Unchecking that makes it so that the user is denied access when creating a Video conference (See Selection_072) and using the "WebMeeting" option in the webclient will result in a "Meeting not found." message (See Selection_071).

This should be enough to address our client's request.
