Hi,

The title says it all ... with scheduled backups activated and multiple clients to manage, we are being bombarded with emails. We should have the option of only receiving emails when an error happens.

Not for nothing, but I prefer getting the success emails so I know it is functioning. A few years ago, i had a backup system set to send on failed, well they were failing but also those messages failed within the same system, so I assumed everything was humming along but it wasn't. Managing multiple 3cx servers, I get a count of success emails to know they all succeeded.

However, not what everyone needs, so it should be settable as an option.

How is this still not a thing?!? It would take all of about 5 minutes of coding if that...

It would be nice to configure whether you want these or not. I manage about 60 3CX servers and they all run backups on the weekends and send notifications to my ticketing system so come Monday morning, I'm flooded with emails about something working the way it should be working.

If this functionality could be implemented, it would save me a LOT of unneeded busy work.

an option to receive on failure only would be great

Just setup 3CX for the first time. It's only been a few days, but this is a feature I really would like to have. E-mail only on backup failure.

We have the same issue, with notifications being sent to our ticketing system for backups that run every night.

This is something that is desperately needed, and without having to use a "workaround" or "mail rule"

Please switch this to a notification when the backup fails instead of successful.

+1 Definitely need this feature as we have emails going to our Ticket System as well. We need backup fails rather than successes.

I use FTP to save customers backup on 6 weeks rotation, in previous 3cx version i encountered a bug between my FTP and 3cx, 3cx was sending me email for successful backup but on FTP side it was only zero bytes files in folders.
So first step should be a real check for a good backup done, not just send a mail at end of process without certitude something is really done.

Here we are nearly two years later, any official response?
