Hello,

Is it possible to direct a call made out of office hours to a generic automated message, but without the voicemail inbox enabled (so call should end immediately after message is played)? Basically, we want to avoid users from leaving voicemails and ideally the call should end after the message has finished playing.

My other question relates to the following scenario: if a caller calls a queue, no one from the queue answers and they're directed to back-up agents, and those agents don't answer neither, does the voicemail left go to the original extension's mailbox that was being called? (voicemails are checked via email)

Thank you!

Regarding your question, this depends on where the queue setting is set for the 'destination if no answer'. If it is set to the voicemail box of the same number as the queue, then if a vmail is left, it will be sent as an email, with the vmail attached as a wav file, to all the email addresses of the members of the queue.

If you would like to play a message to callers instead, then you may direct the calls to an IVR, from the setting 'Destination if no answer' so if not answered in the queue, the call will flow to an IVR where you can record you prompt and then set the options of the IVR to end the call if no input and repeat the prompt if invalid input, for example.

Hi Charles, the setup is as follows: queue A is called, if no one answers > goes to another queue. Ideally we'd like the voicemail to go to members of queue A instead of the "back-up" queue. Do you know if that is possible?

Because the 'destination if no answer' field is already populated to route to the back-up queue, I can't direct the calls to an IVR which anyhow isn't an option in the dropdown. At the moment, we've configured the out of office hours automated message to be played from the Inbound Rules tab > Route calls to > Destination for calls outside office hours > plays voicemail > should end the call but caller is prompted to leave voicemail instead. Is there a workaround to this?

Appreciate your help with this.
