Good morning,

I would like to know if it is possible to configure an analog line on the Grandstream HT802 and connect it to 3cx to use it as a trunk.

For example: Vodafone analog line, connect it to Grandstream HT802 and Grandstream to my hosted 3cx.

Hi @redsis,

The Grandstream HT802 does the opposite. The HT802 is a FXS, and you require a FXO gateway. We have a list of supported devices you could look through, and pick out a FXO gateway for your purposes.

Note: This is only compatible via site-to-site VPN or LAN. 3CX Hosted instances do not support FXO gateways.

Hi, thank you.

So, I must buy a FXO gateway to connect my analog line to my 3cx hosted via LAN or VPN. Right?

Hi @redsis,

No, if you're using a 3CX Hosted Instance, it will not work. Let's clarify what you mean by 3CX Hosted? Do you mean a Google / Azure / AWS instance hosting 3CX? Or do you mean you're Hosted by 3CX?

Hi @VasilisV_3CX ,

Yes, I mean that my 3CX is Hosted by 3CX.

Hi @redsis,

In that case, you won't be able to use the FXO device. As mentioned here, 3CX Hosting has some associated requirements explaining that our hosted platform does not support FXO gateways. Using another hosted instance such as AWS, Google etc, would also have the same issue with configuration but would allow a site-to-site VPN connection

May I suggest contact a 3CX Partner to advise you on a SIP Trunk provider which may well be the best path going forward. We have country specific supported SIP Trunks as well Worldwide supported SIP Trunks.
