Good morning Forum pople,
it's my first message here and I really hope I can get some help...

I recently got into configuring our company new 3CX instance moving from old Asterisk.

I got my Yealink T29G to work pretty good and tried the ECHO (*777) and it works.

Now I need to connect it to the gatway that is connected to our ISDN line with our office phone number.

Do you have some guidelines I could follow to do that?

My device is a Patton SmartNode SN4552/2BIS/EUI ISDN BRI VoIP SOHO

Any help would be really appreciated...

Thanks in advance! :)

Hi Simon! thanks for the replay... only problem for me at this point is tha I don't know where to get an updated firmware for my patton... it's running R4.2 and it clearly states R6.x... It's old product so I don't see on Patton's own site the update listed...

Hi Fabio,

Normally this can be acquired off the Patton website by putting in your model here: https://www.patton.com/support/upgrades/

However as you say this is an old box, If you cannot see it in this list raising a support ticket with Patton is your only choice: https://www.patton.com/support/

If not already you will need to create an account to do this.

As Eddv123 says from experience Patton are usually quite helpful if you raise a ticket / call them.

Goodmorning members, thanks for your responses...
as it turns out my patton goes only to 5.3 firmware revision and they sent the update to me... so all good so far... thing is if I follow the guide from above the patton crashes when I upload the config... like it restarts succesfully but I can no longer reach it on the configured ip... someone maybe is using this same device and is willing to provide some help?

up... sorry to start up-ing so early but I'm really in a hurry...

The device was manufactured by Patton. It has the Patton logo all over. So the wisest thing to do is go to them - Patton support.

All I can offer is basic technical hardware tips - the same for all devices - same for a router switch, mobile etc the usual basic technical stuff

Factory reset the device, clearing all the configuration and everything it has inside.
Ensure it boots
Go to patton website - find the latest and greatest firmware and feed it to the device.
If it crashes, you open a support ticket on the manufacturer (Patton) and give them the information they ask you.

Hello and sorry to get back this late but I actually got it to work and not thanks to any help from this site or anything I figured everything out myself....

Essentially what was happening with the patton restarting and not being reachable anymore was that the config file generated by 3CX 15.5 was for a more modern patton (model of which I cannot remember now) but essentially I was loading in the patton the configuration file for another model of gateway which as you can probably imagine is something very wrong...

Then I thought well the patton I have is ancient so probably if I generate the config file from an ancient version of 3CX things might be a bit more sane... So I went around the web to find an old install of 3CX to isolate into a VM and play... I found a 3CX 12 install and it was all I needed...

The patton configuration is straight forward but again it generated the config file for the correct model but wrong firmware revision... but at least it was something usable...

I logged into the patton and exported the startup configuration. Then I merged the config parameters as generated by 3CX correcting ip addresses where needed and user id and password.

The config file I obtained I fed it to the patton and as like magic... voi là :)

3CX registered into the patton with the account and all is good :)

I will upload a startup configuration file as generated in hope it will be useful to someone ;)

Only requirement is last firmware available for the SmartNode which is 5.3 and can be requested to the patton support site as it's EOL from a long long time and has no official support anymore...

Don't try to upgrade it to 6.something... it does not work and you'll brick the device ;)
