Hello,

I am testing the hotdesking feature following this video (
).

I am using a Yealink T19P E2 and a T21P E2 to test. I can successfully assign the hotdesking special extensions to them and from the management console I can see they are provisioned. I then setup two extensions for testing (following the video) and have the hotdesking option ticked, but when I try the *77*[extension]* I get call failed forbidden error. I have consulted the hotdesking guide (https://www.3cx.com/docs/hot-desking/) and it mentioned my error but I have no other dial code that starts with *77 or *7 for my settings.

Both phones have the most up-to-date firmware which is 53.82.0.20.

Any help would be appreciated.

Hello @FMRS_IT

Please go to Management Console >> Settings >> Parameters and search for HOTDESKING_DIALCODE
Is this parameter configured?

No, it's not configured. I will go ahead and add it. What value should I set it to be?

While in MMC >> Settings >> Parameters click on Add and use the following:
Name: HOTDESKING_DIALCODE
Description: The dial codes used for hotdesking
Value: *77*

Click OK and try dialing now *77*ext_number*

Working! Perfect. Thank you. How come it didn't have the parameter before?

I can't be sure to be honest. I saw this error once before, but in that case it was manually deleted.
