Identify which Patton PSTN line is used for outgoing calls

Hi,

there is any way to let user to identify which PSTN line is used for the outbound call?

I have this setup:

3cx PBX with ISDN gateway (patton) connected to External Line A and another PSTN Gateway (patton) connected to External Line B.
In outbound rule, if route 1 (line A) fail then go to Route 2 (line B).

I need to let user identify which externa Line (or gateway) is used for the outgoing call.

Hi @dmsystems

There is no indication for the user as to which route the call will follow.

The PBX will simply fallback to the next available route once it has determined that the previous route has failed.

there is any way to do that? A workaround or any other tips to let the user identify which lise is used for outgoing calls? A bip or a blink/blf led in the phone. Any advice is welcome.

Since you use gateways, it may be possible to get the gateway to play something before the call is made?

I created this guide for this very reason, it is one of the most common Patton requests on this forum (for FXO gateways at the very least).

This guide was for FXO specifically however it could be adapted for ISDN although this request for this range of models is in fact quite rare.

@dmsystems please advise if you ever got this working - I have setup the exact same for BRI gateway model 4131 this week so now have a working config if you need one.

A loooong time ago I had suggested a (high cost) route warning tone (beep) that could be added with a tick box option against a route, in second, third or fourth choices in the outbound rules. Sadly, nothing came of it.
