Install 3CX on a VPS

Hello,

I am trying to install 3CX on my VPS hosted by Contabo, but my VPS can't reach the activation server of 3CX.

I've tried setting the DNS to 8.8.8.8 but it still won't accept my license key. Does anyone know how to fix this? Is this maybe caused by the contabo firewall?

Don't know what can cause this issue, but I've given up with Contabo vps, no way to have something working with 3CX.
Have you done a manual install based on default debian 9 provided by contabo ?
If so , I did same, after hours of headache I given up

Yes, manual install on debian 9..

Does it work on a OVH VPS?

I swear OVH was up there at some point. But basically the requirement for a supported environment is KVM based virtualization and the ability to install from the 3CX ISO:

If not using 3CX hosting or one of the big 3 then my personal recommendation would be Vultr who we use now. DO is who 3CX uses primarily so that is a good choice as well.

Yes on OVH it works, i have instance actually running, but I haven't done a new install recently to be sure 3CX process didn't change without OVH.

You can either use one of the supported hosting providers, or one that can accept our 3CX ISO if you want your installation to be supported.
