Solved Limit incoming and outgoing calls

Hi,

I am new to 3CX. Please can someone tell me how to limit the amount of incoming calls to 2, so that I can allow 3 outbound calls at all times. The SIP capacity is set to 5. Would this be the Call Queue feature, and setting it to 2 will prevent any more inbound calls?

Yes providing you have no other DIDs on your trunk going elsewhere.

obviously you'll need 8SC to have 5 SCs.

If you specifically wish to limit the people reaching your queue then yes. Any one else will reach the "destination if no answer" which will steal consume a call channel unless you "End call"

If you have other DIDs that don't go to a queue, those can still receive calls and use up capacity.

you can use 2 trunks from separate SIP providers one for incoming traffic one for outgoing, you can set each like you want and cherry on the cake you increase security public links using 2 providers.
