Missing Functions

Hello All,

After upgrading to v20 i'm left with a lot of questions and thoughts why?

- Desktop App:
-> Why is the Desktop App deprecated?. We have a lot of customers who are using it on terminal servers. It's good, has all functions they are looking for and the new Microsoft store app is just... weird.

- Microsoft Store App:
-> Will this app get the same functionallity as the Desktop App, like Panels etc. Now it's just a plain call app. It's also really cropped. When making it full screen my team is in a small vertical row without the possibility to spread it out over my full screen.
Chatting opens the WebClient. So short; i have to have 2 things open at the same time to have the same functionallity as the Desktop App.

- BLF:
-> Bulk editing is gone. It's a pain to setup everything seperate. How am i suppose to fix this for 200+ users...

- Sceduled Reports:
-> Why can't i get sceduled reports anymore?. Just why?.


Also: When upgrading from v18 to v20; if you don't have an e-mail set to the system owner; it just proceeds. How simple is it to notify the person who's upgrading that they can only proceed when the system owner has a valid e-mail.


I know some of these things will find there way back in coming updates, but i have customers who are asking the same question; why?. Why rip somethings that's just working fine it is.
We received an e-mail that all v18's have to be upgraded to v20 by the end of the month. Without above stated functions they just aren't gonna be happy.

There are several threads about these issues in the past few months. Scheduled reports are expected in update 2: https://www.3cx.com/blog/releases/v20-update1/

Per 3CX posts the Store app will get chat and Panel at some point. It’s intended as a dialer.

Thanks for the reply.
I know some things are scheduled. But then why removing it in the first place?.

We have servicecenters relying on in this case the reposts per mail. I can't satisfy them with it was there and may return at some point..

I am looking for answers as why have they removed it?. If there is a good reason for it i can bounce that to my customers.

the store app isn't "take existing app and remove features" it's "we built a new app and it's still being developed".

the electron app is removed because 3CX doesn't wish to pursue that anymore, they want the native store app instead.

From my understanding, the "lack of" features is down to the fact they rebuilt 3CX from the ground up and it just takes time I guess. Also, they'll have deadlines and such to push out new versions and targets to meet. Due to v20 not having all its bits n bobs yet, i'm holding off upgrading for now.
