Tried https://www.3cx.com/docs/manual/pbx-backup-restore-failover/#h.2a3yvcw23lo4/ but this doesn't seem to be accurate or doesn't apply to my license as it is already the free one?

I'm just trying to move the PBX from my initial on-prem windows install to an AWS lightsail install. When I go through signup to get 3CX license it obviously sees I already have one, which is fine as don't need more, but how to move?
Or do i just use an alias email and get a new key?

That is an old guide but it's basically the same. Take a backup of your system and then uninstall (copying the backup outside of the default 3CX backup location). Install on AWS and restore your backup.

Hi

I did this a little while ago and I'm sure that you have to take a full back up EXCLUDING LICENSE & FQDN.

Log in to your partner/user panel to release the FQDN from the license.

Obviously keeping note of license and FWDN

Restore on AWS from the back up

Hello @ArtR

The best way to move your installation is to follow the guide below:
https://www.3cx.com/blog/docs/cloud-pbx-backup-restore/
Let me know if you have any questions.

@kenttec
Please note that the PBX Express tool can now restore backups. To do so your backup must have a licence and FQDN included. Also if you are planning to use the licence and FQDN there is no need to release it from the costumer portal. The only reason to release a key from an FQDN is if you want to change your licence key or your FQDN.
