Moving to Azure?

We have a customer who already has subscriptions in azure and wants to move their 3CX into the azure environment.



Current setup:

1. Hosted on Prem (in private cloud)

2. IP based SIP trunk - will have to move to an account-based trunk I assume?

3. They only use client-based connection so no desktop phones.

4. 50+ extensions, with 16 sim calls



Looking for anyone who has had any experience with azure, the simple answer is to say On Prem, but they want to utilise the azure subscription they already pay for (cost cutting)

1. Has anyone done this process before - what’s it like?

2. Has anyone had any issues / limitations with azure?

Hi,

You should be able to do a Backup->Deploy with->Restore.

For IP based SIP Trunk, if you get a static IP on Azure your provider might be able to just add that IP as authorized. You need to talk with them.
