Same number of clicks required to switch the status and it is very easy to learn.
 
Ok, this is what I meant, rehardless what it is called in the menu. But I would not use a maybe already used status/call divert for this option. Just add a new entry (only on the phone App) which is called "no push".

I am currently running v16 SP2 and noticed that videocalls from, for example, Webclient to Deskphone(SBC), the video is seen both ways on the Webclient but the deskphone doesn't receive the feed. There's also an error popping concerning "cannot read codecs" or something like that. All use H.264 only.

Is the new SBC capable of forwarding video RTP? It already does for audio.

Using a VPN to connect to the Cloud, videocalls were working perfectly even between WC and deskphone. I didn't try in STUN yet.

The beta is ahead of the 3CX PBX which will control soon if you wish to get calls from within your extension profile. As you have access to the profile configuration (as user or admin) you can gradually configure when you wish to be available or not.

The benefit is that you can control your profile status from all 3CX Apps on the fly or via time-based schedule or even sync it with your Office 365 calendars to "automatically" ignore push messages based on those events. Btw, it will not send calls or chat messages.

To my believes this is the correct way to bring together modern needs respecting the employees private time in a BYOD environment.

You will have access to this feature on Update 3 Beta (not the upcoming Update 3 Alpha!) and then all the gears should be in sync going forward. Also for your iOS users.

Hi Stefan,

I somewhat disagree with how you propose to set this up. We used our away status to show that we are away. When we and our clients are sitting at our desks during the day we want our desk phones to ring only.

With the new way this will be done, the majority of our users will need to be in Away all day, and then this sort of defeats the point of the away status.

The exit ignore PUSH was a very good feature and caused lots of support calls the last time it was received. I understand we can Force Stop the app, but do you not agree that exit ignore PUSH was a much easier and cleaner way of doing this. Some devices that are running a MDM will not allow a user to force stop an app.

But based on what has been said, all profiles will have the option to enable/disable push, not only "away". So your users will not have to switch to away every time they want to enable push!

Yes I understand this, but I think if this was the case it would be good to be able to create or have a new status so we can in theory have a secondary available status. This would allow us to avoid using the away status for this job.

I understand you can use the lunch status for this, however we have clients who use the Lunch status to not accept calls from hunt groups, but will still want to receive internal calls.
 
I think that for some of the scenarios described here, a solution would be a delay between the deshone ringing and the Push being sent to the app on the mobile phone. A delay of 5 - 7 seconds would be plenty for users normally at their desk to answer a call before their mobile starts ringing. The delay would not require any chang of status when moving away from their desk for a while but not significantly slow down the call appearing on the mobile phone.

Completely agree, for many of us statuses simply aren't the answer. I don't want to show a status that means the office knows if I'm at desk or mobile, it may put them off phoning me if they can tell that it is pushed to mobile. We would have to have two identical statuses both called "available" which seems crazy and staff that don't use mobile app often would just get confused and fed up.

This exit without push can have the potential to screw things on Google push servers. Because it is not the official way to suppress push. You need to tell your users to move to another more friendly and easier and recommended approach.

The only issue doing that is that it also sets your forked extensions (e.g. primary desk phone) to DND while you may want to be available at your desk while the 3CXPhone sits next to you charging.
 
Something that we are also considering is the ability to switch off the ringer from the app itself. Right now you can do this from app settings in the main settings, but maybe its something that can be done from the side menu to achieve the same thing.

Personally i think with the smartphone apps you dont really need the deskphone anymore.

A simple switch on mobile like you said would be perfect, quick and easy!

As for deskphones, they are needed when the customer's boss is paranoid about employees on their cellphones. I get the same remark about the Webclient, they don't want a browser always open since it might be Facebook or YouTube. Compared to a Windows app that is easily visible. I wish everybody used Webclient, the WebRTC works really well.

Have we found a way to get iOS app to stop ringing too?

Customer needs deskphone to ring but not their mobile when in office. Only way to do that is to unregister by going to account > uncheck from the app. which is a little long winded.

Anyone got a workaround for that?

It is tempting to think this and it will probably true sometime in the future but now we have a lot of users still more comfortable with their deskphones. A switch to silence the ringer is an option but I think there is a high likelihood that it will be forgotten when they slip out of the office for a coffee or short errand and so miss a call. If we could set Bluetooth linking between the smartphone and computer to sense when the user is away from their desk to enable/disable the ringer this would be ideal.

How about this. If un-registering is a reliable way to tell 3CX to stop pushing, similar to the Q icon that simply puts agents in and out of Q status regardless of which queues they are logged into, how about an icon in the app that simply turns registration on and off?
 
No un registering is not a reliable way nor is ignoring push. Furthermore latest android app no longer registers, that's really only necessary for desk phones going forward.

So putting ringer off is an option, but if you cant remember to switch it on again then its on your own fault. Don't switch it off and put the ringer less loud.

iOS does not allow this.
The way to stop the ringer is to set in DND (the call will not come to you).
