I am attempting to setup a Fanvil PA3 with 3cx that is hosted on a cloud server. I have been Googling and reaching out to Fanvil, but still not quite sure how this is supposed to work. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I am replacing a Valcom V-2001A analog system with the PA3 to use VOIP. I want to be able to play music from Sirius Satellite radio to the External speakers through out the building, page employees from the Fanvil x3u handsets for phone calls over the same speaker system, and also be able to play the music from Sirius for callers on hold. The Valcom was setup a very long time ago and it accomplishes these things, but now would like the PA3 to function in the same manner. It is just 1 location that it will be utilized in, pretty simple setup as far as phone system, but the PA3 has thrown me a curve ball.

There isn't a ton of info out there on the PA3 so figured I would try the 3cx forums and see if I can stir up a conversation. Currently I have it in my home and deployed an SBC on my network and set up everything on an existing 3cx tenant, but not the one it is going to stay in. Just doing it this way for testing before implementing in it's permanent location. I am sure I will think of some other questions as well along the way and the more I poke around on it.

1. Do I need an SBC on the network for the PA3 to function properly with 3cx?
2. Does the PA3 just need to be assigned to an extension like a phone?
3. Do the users just dial the extension to page over the speaker system?
4. Can I utilize the 3.5mm jack on the PA3 to connect the Sirius Satellite radio?

Would also like to get the information on how to get FANVIL PA3 in 3CX end-to-end.

@DunvanCNR - Did You manage do get info on how this setup works ?

I actually ended up abandoning the PA3 and called Valcom since their support actually talks to you on the phone and helps out. I went with the VIP-821A and it just interfaces with the V-2001A that I was working with. I just configured it to go to the SBC and plugged the phone line into the 2001-a and it was operational.

The PA3 I am pretty sure you need more than just the PA3 to get it all to work, but I could never get a straight answer from Fanvil.

1. Do I need an SBC on the network for the PA3 to function properly with 3cx?
Yes - because the PBX is hosted

2. Does the PA3 just need to be assigned to an extension like a phone?
Yes it does

3. Do the users just dial the extension to page over the speaker system?
Yes and it will automatically answer the call

4. Can I utilize the 3.5mm jack on the PA3 to connect the Sirius Satellite radio?
Unknown - you will have to check with Fanvil and their documentation - this is outside of our scope

Thanks @JohnS_3CX
I managed to get it working yesterday, created the config file manually and provisioned the Fanvil PA3.

created the config file manually
This should not really be necessary, the latest version of 3CX has native support for this (ie. we generate a config file for you)

@JohnS_3CX, I'm pretty sure you have to add the pa3's extension # to a paging ringing group and call the paging ring group not the extension directly.

Not necessary - if you call it on its extension it will answer and you can make an announcement.
