no provisioning - NUCC7PJYH

Hello,

when we started to deploy 3cx for our clients, we used NUC5CPPYH, this model is tested and supported by 3cx (https://www.3cx.com/docs/intel-nuc-appliance/). It was fine.

Few months ago, our supplier propose us to sell another NUC version, NUCC7PJYH, at the same price (and say us he cant provide old one anymore). Since we use this new one we dont have auto-provisioning anymore (for same phones, supported by 3cx).
We tried to check lot of things (switch config, remove vlans, firewall or anything that can block provisioning) but didnt find anything. That's why I suppose this problem involve a change in network card configuration but I didnt manage to solve it.

Did someone use the same NUC (NUCC7PJYH) and face the same problem or found a solution ? Its not a problem for small clients but it will be for installs with lot of phones.

Hi,

Since this model is not in the tested devices list, then we cannot guarantee that it will work, and I speculate there may be incompatibilities with the hardware/drivers that prevent you from auto-provisioning (again, not tested nor confirmed from our side).

On a different note, you might be pleased to hear though that V16 will support the Raspberry Pi for smaller deployments.

yes probably an hardware/drivers issue. I know this device is not supported, I was asking this to know if someone encounter the same problem and found a solution for theses recents NUC.

Indeed the v16 on beta raspberry is a option on smalls installs even if v16 is not a prod version yet.

But this doesn't really solve the problem. As for smalls installs with only few phones, I can enter provisioning link manually ; and for big installs, we cant use Raspberry.

To the best of my knowledge, the only place where the two differ is in their CPUs. The NUC7CJYH has an embedded dual-core Celeron J4005, while the NUC7PJYH uses a quad-core Pentium Silver J5005. I suspect that the J4005 lacks the performance capacity to support 3CX.
