One outbound caller ID

Hi

In our office we have a patton box which has 3 incoming lines, one used for fax. We have configured the route to have 3 outgoing lines and 2 incoming line for phone and one for fax.
The issue is we use the fax line as an outgoing line and it appears on the outbound caller ID

Is there away to show the office number as the outgoing callerId for all calls

I assume you likely have a 4114 or an analog gateway. Given this, in most cases, the CID is usually provided by the carrier. Check with them to see if this is true or if somehow you have CID control.

There may be some PSTN providers that will allow an analogue line to display a "main" billing number (you'd have to ask). Ring groups that have Pseudo numbers assigned to lines other than the first one, work this way. Callers are unable to dial any line but the main number. For a single (fax) line, not part of a ring group, about all you may be able to do is to block CID on a per call basis call (prefix in outbound rules), or have your provider permanently block CID on that line.

May users, that also have VoIP, will reserve use the fax line (though a gateway), for emergency calls only. You could create some outbound rules that restricted outbound calls on that line, to destinations where the CID would not be used to return a call. It is probably not a good idea to tie up the fax line, with a great deal of outgoing (non fax) traffic, in any case.
