Paging coming through when phone on DND

I am having an issue where when someone puts their phone on DND, they still get pages coming out of their speaker.

We have a paging group setup and it's set to page all within 3CX. Any ideas? We haven't set it to multicast paging but we may try that tonight although I don't believe that'll make a difference.

Any help would be appreciated as this is quite annoying.

You haven't mentioned what phones you are using but generally paging is considered to be a priority type call what will override DND. Typically paging was done via overhead speakers that you couldn't set to DND so it follows the same principle. The fix here is probably to remove that phone from the page group if it's that much of an issue. There may be phone specific changes you could make but that's a matter of cracking open the manual for the phone, making the change, testing it, and then seeing if it persists across provisioning.

Sorry, they are Yealink T46S phones. So there isn't a way to have paging not come through on phones that are DND? The main issue is for the office manager when they are in a meeting in their office.

Hi,

Paging has higher priority, DND will not stop it.

So depending on what the customer uses paging for (just announcements? for emergency notifications?) you can create separate paging groups and remove the manager from one of them and keep the manager in the other.

Multicast paging (at least on Yealink) can be set to honor DND. This might require custom template though or removing the phone from provisioning.
