Please address prepend issue

You should really express, in your own words, what you are hoping will change, rather than simply posting other threads. It means that people have to click, then read through other treads, to figure out what it is you are trying to say.

It seems, that you want the dialled number, to be kept in the logs rather than the actual number, as sent to the provider. While some providers seem to require an excessive number of leading digits, many do not, so it is not an issue. If changes were made, there would also have to be a way to handle outbound calls where the entire number (or a large part) was replaced in the outbound rules. This could happen in speed dialling, where you would probably want the actual number sent .

The larger issue is that the prepend affects the redial of calls in the phones history list. The pretend as some people noted was a trunk access account or security code that prepends the number in the sip call request. I imagine the designers thought of the prepend as more of a way to insure the full dialing format of a shorter number.
Perhaps the cleaner way to solve the issue is to allow a prepend in the trunk settings. Either way it’s a limitation that should be addressed.
