We have been using 3CX for years with Yealink phones. Now we are trying to provision Polycom VXX-400 with no success. We followed all provided instructions: downloaded the zip folder, copied it's contents, created the DHCP 066 potion on MS-Server-2008r2, restarted the 3CX SERVER and our brand-new Polycom VXX-400 and nothing happens on the phone - it is taking the IP address (lease is active) but not the 3CX provisioning.

What are we doing wrong ?

Anyone had success provisioning the Polycom VXX ?

Is the MAC address correct in the 3cx Management console

Yes. I just verified it one more time.

Thank you very much for reply.
Yes we do run 3CX v 15.5 on MS-Server 2008 R2. It is listed as "untested".

We managed to get this VVX400 to register with 3cx by updating the phone firmware from Polycom update server. We downloaded versions one-by-one till we hit the first one that works (5.7xx)

Now everything works except one strange behaviour with CTI: when we dial the number from 3CX windows client - the VVX400 displays "Incoming call from Make-Call" instead of just dialing the number like all our Yealink phones do... Is that normal for Polycom phones or this is some kind of problem ? Can we fix it by editing some template ?
Sure you know about Polycom. Please advise what to do.

The old CTI integration used 'Make Call'. The new integration that supported phones use is CSTA.

log into the vvx400 web interface, as it did not provision use the default pw.

click on the diagnostic tab > view and download logs menu item
click on the "boot" log file type
search for "tftp-server-name"

you will find a line with something like this:
000043.310|dhcpc|3|01|dhcListener: Read succeeds: eth0 option: tftp-server-name http://192.168.125.11:5000/provisioning/**

or maybe you will see an error.

Polycoms are not a supported/preferred phone model with 3CX where Yealink are this is expected behaviour. Cisco's do the same.

Why did you move from Yealink to Polycom phones ? Or was it by customer request?
