I just migrated a client Avaya IP Office to 3CX and the users are now asking if they are able to record a voicemail greeting, which gives callers the option to be transferred to another user. For example, when they go on vacation, they normally change there greeting to any "I'm out of the office now, but if you need immediate assistance, Press 1 to be transferred to Support or 2 to be transferred to Sales" or leave a message after the tone".
The IP Office did this easily, so they would like to have back this feature. Is this possible in 3CX? If yes, where do i configure that?

I think * will transfer to the default extension set in settings->general. So they need to include it into their message so the caller knows.

If you want better control, the workaround I've used is instead of forward to voicemail after no answer, we forward to an IVR and have that forward to voicemail as an option.

You can only do this if you create a custom IVR for each user, who will forward their calls to when they are away. Or they can simply forward their calls to the main IVR so anyone calling them will return to the main IVR to select an option or talk to the human receptionist
