I was looking for a way to prevent external callers to dial extension when ringing IVR (Digital Receptionist) and I've seen many posts about using advanced parameters such as IVRDONOTCALL or IVR_DIRECT_DIALING_GRAMMAR with a regex.
Problem: hosted instances do not allow access to advanced parameters.
A solution was handed to me by the support. I tested and it works: configure your Digital Receptionist with "DTMF Input" instead of "Standard".
This allows the user to dial specific DTMF input but prevents the caller to call whatever extension on your system...
