Hi there-

I have a 3CX install that is located in our datacenter and I am trying to configure a couple of phones here in our office and not having much success and was looking for someone to point me in the right direction.

I am trying to provision a Yealink T41P. I have configured a phone for the extension in question, selected the T41 template, and set the provisioning method for Direct SIP. I log into the Yealink GUI, enter the 3CX Provisioning URL and click autoprovision now and nothing happens, and the phone doesn't reboot.

However as a test, I took my provisioning URL and put it into a browser and I am getting a 404.. port 443 and 5001 are opened up on our firewall.

Is there something that I may be missing?

So you shouldn't need both 443 and 5001, just the one in the provisioning URL. The provisioning URL would need the MAC address as well if you are testing in the browser. So it should look like https://provurl/macaddress.cfg

If you can get that to work from your location then the phone should work as well (assuming you have the phone on the correct firmware).

Thank you! Is there a place I can reference to see what the required firmware version is of various phone models? I came across this: https://www.3cx.com/sip-phones/yealink-t4-series/ but I don't see anywhere that says what version of firmware is required.

As you are using direct sip, you need to enable this on the extension as the phone are remote

Under options for the extension you need to untick 'Disallow use of extension outside the LAN (Remote extensions using Direct SIP or STUN will be blocked)'

Check the blacklist, to see if your IP address has been blacklisted

I have this working, thank you your help everyone!

Glad to see the issue has been resolved.
