Provisioning Polycom from web interface after factory reset

I've ran into this a few times and I feel like there has to be a way around it.
The user has a Polycom VVX 401 at a remote location connected via an SBC. Last night I factory reset the phone with the intention of reprovisioning it. But after the reset and it boots up, I'm kicked to a page that simply reads: Default admin password is in use. Change the password.
The only way I know to get past this is to have someone locally touch the phone and enter a new password which is a major annoyance.
Does anyone know a way around this?

Not sure if there is a way to bypass this, you might have to look into Polycom's documentation but it appears to be a security feature to prevent remote takeovers if I had to guess.

One possible solution (if feasible) is to use DHCP Option 66 at that site. After resetting the phone, it will automatically find the URL and reprovision itself.

Thanks @JohnS_3CX at least I know I'm not missing something obvious.
We rarely deploy Polycom devices and this particular case is a small office using an ISP modem/firewall so there is no DHCP options available.
I've also noticed that the phone doesn't show up in the Phones tab of 3CX to be assigned but I feel like we've ran into that with Polycom phones before too.

Thanks, I remembered it was something like that. Oh well, I've alerted the user to reach out when they arrive.

That's correct, but our instructions are to enable it via the phone display menus.

You can also do it via the Web UI, but in this case the web access is blocked so you would not be able to do it.

If there is someone at the remote office that can help you, ask them to try and enable PnP as per our instructions, and you should be able to remotely provision it from the management console (it will appear as new).

Thanks, but once there is someone on site, it'll be easier to have them change the admin password so I can log in via the web UI and complete the provisioning.
I was seeking a way to do it without the user having to touch it first. I understand it is a Polycom security "feature", I just personally find it problematic, but I guess that's my problem.

Again, I'm not 100% on that, I was just speculating that's why I recommended to take a look at their documentation.

Perhaps they might mention other options too!
