Hey there!

Looking in to this for 2 days now.

We have a Extension which is supposed to be an IT-24/7-Emergeny-Number. When this Number is called outside business hours, it transfers the Call to a Ring Group.
In this Ring Group there are 4 Pseudo-Extension with only a mobile number configured and the option "ring mobile" is checked.

Everything works so far. My Goal is, that the Outbound Extension Number of the IT-Emergeny-Number is signaled on the cellphones to let the users know, why they are getting this call. Its confusing if there is just some random Number of the original caller signaled.

For example they want to put their cellphone to DND in the nighttime and have exceptions which are not affected by this to still get the call in a emergency.

I hope you are able to follow my explanation and thanks for every hint I get!

There are a number of parameters (dealing with caller ID) in the outbound options of the 3CX trunks. These determine where the caller ID is to be taken. How this works can vary from provider to provider. The way it is working for you, at the moment, is the way, the majority of users tend to want it working...the originators caller ID being passed on.

You can make some changes, and see if that has the deisred affect (taking the caller ID from the local extension), but these changes will affect all calls over that trunk group. Some changes make stop all outgoing calling if rejected by your provider. Make note of all settings before any changes, and test to be sure that there are no detrimental affects to other calls.

This is likely trunk specific, but I have been able to change this on a few of my PBxs by going to:
SIP Trunks > Outbound Parameters > Scroll down to find "Remote Party ID - Calling Party : User Part " Change to or ensure option is "Outbound Caller ID" OR "Outbound Line ID" -- depending on whether you want the Outbound caller ID from your extension or directly from the caller ID tab in your SIP Trunk.

Like I said though, this setting could have a completely different effect on your trunk, as I am running on a bandwidth.com trunk, so sometimes messing with these outbound parameters is all about trial and error in my experience.

Thank you both for the replies. Im pretty sure its Trunk-related too!
And I'm aware, that showing the orginal caller number makes totally sense when transfering a call. But normally we dont transfer to external phones, only to extensions and for that its ok.

We run on Easybell as SIP-Provider. I already tried all possible settings and combinations in FROM - DIsplay and FROM - UserPart (among others).

I never tried RemotePartyID so that is the next thing I will try - thanks for that! I'll keep you updated if that worked or not.
