Hello

For the last month or so, we have been experiencing an odd issue with our 3CX server. If we lose internet connection or the 3CX server is rebooted, none of the SIP trunks seem to connect unless I go to the 3CX services and restart the SIP Server service.
Just wondering if anyone can provide any advice on what could possibly be the cause.

Hello AWS

Thank you for your response please find below the requested information.
  • 3CX Version, Enterprise 16.0.3.676
  • Server OS, Windows 10 Pro
  • Is the 3CX Server Hosted and where? No
  • Trunk Provider: Australian Phone Company
  • Gateway Make/Model: Ubiquiti Unifi Security Gateway Pro 4
  • Has the Firewall Checker passed: YES

is your PC dedicated to 3CX PBX ?
which W10 version do you use? is it Latest V1903 or previous?

Is your SIP provider a 3CX supported one?
Are your trunk IP based or account based?
Do you have some interesting messages in logs? is log in verbose?

Hello AWS2P

The PC running 3CX is 100% dedicated 3CX PBX running version 1903 of Windows 10

I can confirm my SIP provider is a 3CX supported provider and my trunks are account-based

I Have checked the logs which are in verbose mode and there are no errors.

Are the 3CX prerequisite on Windows machine done?
Set to high level performance, no sleep time, no antivirus on 3CX folders.
Do you have comfortable hardware, enough memory , space disk?

if you try a forced register from trunk before restarting sip service, what happens?
If you have not a lot of DIDs on this trunk could it be easy to recreate trunk from scratch?

Hello AWS2p

The machine is set to high performance, sleep has been disabled and I have added the 3CX exceptions into Avast business.

As for the specs we are running 8GB Ram, AMD Ryzen 5 Pro 2400G and 250GB Samsung NVME SSD with 190GB free space.

Trying a forced register from the trunk menu doesn't seem to do anything.

We have 3 trunks running in 3CX and I have already tried recreating all 3 and symptoms don't change.

just to play with, can you set all 3CX services to be delayed started?
I have a feeling that you box starts so fast that when 3CX services start the network layer is not ready/has not IP (do you use DHCP?)

Hello StefanW

The 3CX server currently has a Static IP assigned to it.

Stay option stack network not ready even with Static IP.

@bacchj

If the network is not ready at the time of the event, the trunks may not register.

Trying with a delay should show us if this is the case.

Can you post a screenshot of the trunk "Options" tab?

Hello JohnS_3CX

I have changed all the 3CX services to Delayied Automatic Start will need to reboot the 3CX server tonight to test it.

I would also take this into consideration. We recommend that you keep the system dedicated to 3CX and install no other software packages.

Also, is this a VM or bare metal?
