The title is pretty much self expenatory. Du you know any trunks that allow you to spoof your number with your software without having to /imput, register, verify/ the number in their platform?

Are you looking for a carrier that doesn't block outbound calls if the specified outbound caller ID is not in their inventory? If so, what country are you in? Or are you looking for assistance with how to change your outbound caller ID using the API? Frankly, there isn't a way of changing your outbound caller ID on a per-call basis unless you manipulate the extension's caller ID prior to placing the call. If you are using the API MakeCall function to place the call, then there is no way of altering the outbound caller ID other than sending the call out a specific trunk that has a default caller ID specified.

Don't the Trunks provide the option to change your CID with your software 3CX for example without going threw their site?

There are a number of carriers that allow this (and many advertise that fact that they do), however, this ability will vary, depending , not only on the carrier, but the country that the service is being offered. In some locations it is banned outright, so VoIP providers are not permitted to offer it.

I'm not sure I understand your question. You can set a default caller ID on your SIP trunk, and you can overwrite the default by configuring a caller ID for each extension. There is no built-in facility for changing the caller ID on a per-call basis. If you need to change your caller ID on-the-fly, I encourage you to look at our 3CX Caller ID add-on. This tool changes the outbound caller ID assigned to an extension prior to placing the phone call. We also have an HTTP API that includes a "MakeCall" function that also allow you to change the caller ID prior to placing the call. Both of these tools accomplish this using the 3CX Call Control API.

I get the impression he is simply looking to spoof caller ID, perhaps not necessarily with 3CX.

I dont think so.
I know a SIP provider which for example force you to verify the CLIP you want to use with a callback procedure. You enter the clip in the webform, the sytem calls the number you entered and gives you a 4 digit code which you in turn have to enter in the webform to confirm you have the right to use the number.

Romano most likely is referring to this procedure, and would like overcome/automate it.
I dont know of any way to do this. Better go to a carrier which lets you use any number.

Yes something like that, do you know any?

Hello @Romano

We support a number of providers that will allow you to use anything as your Outbound caller ID. If you look at our supported providers page each provider has a set of features they support. What you are looking for is called Clip no screening. The providers that support this will allow you to use any number you want as your caller id. Some providers though offer this as a separate paid service while others don't.

So when the feature is set to "Clip No Screening Support - Yes"
this means that you can send whatever outbound Caller ID as you like withought having to enter/add it in their web platform first?

My problem is that the ones who allow you to set CID only allow threw their web platform which is slow, and not threw their API

Since you seem to have a specific application in mind, one that does not appear to be related to 3CX, you are probably best off contacting providers directly, and asking them what they support. Most list their services/features on their sites. If you want to begin with the 3CX supported providers, by all means, do so.

My flowroute trunks easily allow spoofing and very affordable

Is it API based spoofing or web portal click...add number....click save type of spoofing?

What's the difference? You send a number to the provider and they allow it.

I dont want to spam some poor shmucks CID when I make calls but I dont want to spend a minute betwean each call to set a new ID

I only use it to show our caller ID from numbers we own on other trunks. I don't change them. I set per extension.
