That title may be a little confusing, but here is the setup and issue...

We have a facility with patient phones/extensions. Those extensions do not have voicemail.
We have nurse stations. Those extensions also do not have voicemail.
If the nurse station does not answer a call, it redirects to the another nurse station. If that nurse station does not answer, it goes back to the receptionist.

The current scenario I'm having problems with is this...

A caller dials into our main line and reaches an IVR. They can dial any extension, including the patient rooms (ex. 1272).

The call goes to that patient phone. If they do not answer, the call is sent over to another IVR explaining that the patient has not answered. It asks them to press 0 to get to the nurse station for that room. When they get transferred over to that extension (after pressing 0) and the nurse station does not answer, it appears to be going to voicemail, based on the report I just ran for a different issue.

The nurse station phones should not have voicemail at all. It should continue the transfer to the other nurse station and then to the receptionist.

So nurse stations, patients and receptionist do not have voicemail.

I have attached a couple of screenshots. The first is is showing the report showing the call going to voicemail. The other is the current Forwarding setup of that extension.

Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

You don't show the setting (enabled?) under the Voicemail tab.

Correct. Voicemail is disabled for all of those phones. You can see that in this screenshot.

Who has the "operator" extension on the system? Do they have voicemail? I'm just wondering if the caller is ending up in that mailbox?

Also what do you have set under the IVR for invalid inputs? could that be transferring the call to a voicemail destination?
Also have you tried to replicate the issue with the mentioned call flow? That could provide a lead as to how the call ended up in voicemail.

Ok, I think I figured it out. It was the most simple thing that requires a separate fix.

I just checked out the extension in the Windows client and it was red. I figured out that someone had turned on DND.

Now, my next task, I need to make new templates for the nurse station phones to remove the ability of turning on DND. I'll begin my research on making this happen.

Thanks everyone for responding to this thread.

Glad to see the issue has been discovered and thank you for updating the thread.
