I have a client who wants a button press process to unconditionally forward all incoming calls that go to one extension over to another. The source extension is their "front desk", which at certain times may or may not be manned. The destination extension they wish to transfer to could be any of the 20 or so other extensions in the system, at random. It's rarely ever the same extension twice.

The reason they want a button sequence, is because they do not want to use the web interface for the process. Yes, they have been educated on it. No, they don't want to use it. They see it as a time waster. They want something like *31210 to send the calls to 210. Period. Done.

They tried the phone's built in "unconditional forward" feature, but it doesn't work. The PBX and/or phone are ignoring the setting.

Is there any option within 3CX that will do this that I'm just missing in the documentation?

PBX: 18.0 (Build 461) hosted on Google
SBC: 18.1.36 on linux
Source phone: Fanvil X210 with firmware 2.4.12

Hi @Dynamic Networks,

This has been asked about before and there are in fact simple ways to do this, using the Webclient by switching statuses which your users don't want to use, or using the mobile app for example which I guess they don't want to use either.

So something you might want to try could be:

To create a CFD (Call Flow Designer) project which will ask the caller to input number they'd like to forward all calls to, then change their status to Custom 2 / Business Trip so the status is unaffected by office hours etc. The input would need to be written to a file on the server.

Another CFD project would need to be made whereby it calls the file that was written and checks what number incoming calls need to be routed to. This could be accomplished by having the Custom 2 status forward to a Dummy extension which forwards to the CFD number, added as an exception. The reason for the Dummy is that you can't forward to CFD numbers via status forwards.

Again, reinventing the wheel here but if that's what your users want, with a little blood, sweat and tears it should be possible.

@Dynamic Networks, did you manage to come right with a solution? I have a client that wants a similar solution except they want to forward calls to outside numbers.
It sounds like @VasilisV_3CX answer may be the only possible solution and I need to learn more of the CFD.

Hi @Gambi,

Are your clients not wanting to use the Web Client? It would make their lives (and yours) A LOT easier. If not, yes then CFD would be necessary and you can open a post in the CFD Forum.
