Upgrade to V20 Update 1 for Scheduled Reports, Faster Backup & Restore

Is there a Windows version for on-prem users that allows scheduled reporting yet? We are currently running v18 update 9, and I have twelve reports scheduled to run and email to certain people daily or weekly. I do not want to lose them whenever I upgrade to v20.

Ok I just found that I am set as local install but I am hosted on Vultr. What do I need to do to fix this?

Hi there...yes I got renewed to the end of the year. What happens then?

Also, I am hosted now on Vultr. Is there any cost to have 3CX host it and if not, what is the process to move it over? Can I keep my existing FQDN as well as my current configs?

Also, the other 3cx instance i have is still on v18 but it was only renewed to august?

Yeah I got it updated but it expires in december 2024. ALso the v18 instance running expires august 1 2024. I am confused.

Also, if I want to migrate to a 3CX hosted instance instead of using my vultr instance will it cost anything and how do I migrate it over? can I keep the FQDNs we have on the 3cx.us domain? will our configs stay?

Yes you can migrate via a backup+install+restore.

ok thanks for the quick reply the vultr instance on v18 has a deadline of aug 1 24 dunno why and my vultr v20 has a deadline of dec 24

V18 users have until the end of 2024 to migrate to V20.​

so I don't know why it is set for august 2024?

Free editions must move to V20 by 1st August or the free edition key will stop working. If you want to stay on v18 you will have to buy a commercial edition.
Commercial editions can stay on v18 but there are no updates and PUSH will stop working by end of 2024
NFR must move to V20 by 1st August, the license is provided for free to promote latest version of 3CX

I migrated the second pbx this morning. Pretty easy thank you for making it so.
I see that emails must be unique. How can I send notifications (like VMs) to the same email or multiple emails? This is a small synagogue. also, can notifications be sent to SMS?

Also, I see the aug 1 date still is showing up and that did not change after the upgrade. I assume that's a manual function?

You can use email aliases, or Plus Addressing if on 365/Google. Or distribution lists.

I believe 3CX updates Free keys all at once, wait a few more days.

hi steve...ok thanks on the license...I don't manage their emails they're all over the place. why is there the email restriction? Also, how can notifications be sent to SMS beisdes using an email?

3CX allows using the email to log in. It just needs to be unique on the server. Or can be omitted which disables the web client for that extension.

One option is to use + addressing.

The other way is to send it to a ring group as a voicemail, Then add the same member in it. But then you can't have a custom recording this way.

When using Group Voicemail I'll place an IVR in front of it that plays the desired recorded message and then sends the call immediately to the Group Voicemail box. It's an extra step to configure, but I find it a requirement for most group voicemail use cases. (Usually, something like "Your call is important to us, but no one is available to take your call right now. Please leave a voicemail with your name and callback number, and someone will call you as soon as possible".)

I realise we we now on Update 3 (Alpha), but a question about reports...

Would it be possible to get a report showing maximum SCs in a given period (day, week, etc.)?

This would be handy for keeping an eye on when a licnece (and SIP trunk) upgrade might be necesssary.

I'd post in the ideas forum, but don't have the appropriate level .
