If I've missed a post or information, apologies, but I cannot find a definitive answer anywhere and I have not personally performed a full version upgrade.
Assuming all upgrade pre-reqs and procedures are met correctly, I now will have a fully updated v16 system. What actual steps are required of me regarding the phones needing to be re-provisioned after the upgrade and update? I know it may sound silly, but I just can't find what actually happens without doing it.
Most of my locations are remote so my main concern is what cannot be done remotely after the upgrade process?
I'm currently only concerned with Yealink T23G phones. All sites have on-premise servers hosting 3CX provisioned over LAN.
I think all extensions will keep exact same information and the phones will just need to be updated with the current supported firmware, which will reboot them, and ta-dah, they are up and running.

Can someone please put me at ease or correct my idiocy?

Thanks as usual,
Cheers

Just thinking it through... I guess worst case, I use the extension export info and remotely access each phone's IP, factory reset, and re-provision.

Nothing has to be done on phones if it's not clearly asked in console, so once your pbx is up to date , just use it for calls.

I forget the interval but the phones regularly check for updates to the configuration. If you want to force the issue you can re-provision all the phones in 3CX and then reboot the phones and they should update themselves.

If you are doing a system upgrade and you are keeping the same FQDN, IP etc then the phones will reconnect once the server is back online. Nothing in the phone configuration will need changing assuming you are running a supported environment.
The new version will come with updated templates and firmware you will need to re-provision the phones and update their firmware after you download it from the Updates section.

Well... glad to report the first upgrade completed with literally zero problems. High fives everyone, drinks on me!

So where do we meet to claim said drink?
