I too was a victim of a failed upgrade from v16 to v18. I have my backup and decided to download a fresh copy of the ISO for v18 to get a fresh VM and restore.

Well it has been two days and I finally gave up, the ISO for v18 doesn't install 3CX correctly. I have tried in three different servers two sites each time downloading the ISO and verified checksums. I get to the screen where I select the version and select 3CX (non SBC). After that there is no license agreement screen, the system reboots to the shell and upon login in there are no signs of 3CX being installed (nginx is not there, etc).

So for now I have downloaded the ISO for v16 and the installation went well without issues.

Am I missing something or is the v18 ISO seriously broken?

What are you installing it on?

@diegolrz Please give us details of the hardware that you are installing it on as per @cobaltit suggestion.

I had the same issue this morning (downloaded it Saturday night and again Sunday morning). I finally got it installed by manually installing the missing dependencies, but it's certainly not something you want to offer to customers at the moment. I was just trying it out.

XCP-NG 8.2, Debian 10 template, 8C/8GB/50GB.

Missing deps:
echo "deb http://downloads-global.3cx.com/downloads/debian buster main" | tee /etc/apt/sources.list.d/3cxpbx.list
apt-get install python3-distro-info/oldstable distro-info-data/oldstable python3-distro-info/oldstable lsb-release/oldstable unattended-upgrades/oldstable
wget http://ftp.us.debian.org/debian/pool/main/i/icu/libicu57_57.1-6+deb9u4_amd64.deb && dpkg -i libicu57_57.1-6+deb9u4_amd64.deb

Now you can install it via apt:
apt-get install 3cxpbx

Forgot to mention this was on a 1:1 natted static public to static private IP with explicitly no filtering (I tried everything, and it was a throwaway vm). And there were no error messages or other indications that the script had failed. Once I got it installed, it seemed to work perfectly.

Neither of the V16 or v18 3cx Debian downloads would run due to dependency issues last night.
Host platform was not the issus. Hyper-v or VMware
It can run if you follow the previous posts.

This worked for me. Thank you very much.

Sorry for the delay, I am installing on ESXI 6.7

Hello,

The issue with the upgrades has been resolved a few hours ago and the OS upgrade option has been restored in the Management Console. We have also resolved the issue with the ISO in some cases showing a dependency error.

If there are any comments that you need share with us, I would ask that they are all gathered in this post:
