One more vote for Teams-Integration (Status-Integration / SIP-Trunk).
But only for calendar items. It would be great to exchange status informations for active phone calls in both systems (to see in 3CX if someone has an active call in teams and vice versa). Please use ideas forum to create or vote for ideas!
That said, you talk about status integration, this is already possible using 3CX - Microsoft 365 integration?
Yes I would like to know this as well.@Nick Galea Do we know when we may see official support/firmware for the latest Fanvil Video Door Phones more specifically the i16V and i32V? Thanks.
Multiple phonebooks are a must especially for the Hospitality industry for obvious reasons.Thank you again for all the feedback. All feature requests should still go via the ideas forum please. As you can see the top features that are feasible and well explained are considered. To answer some of your questions:
- Polycom - yes it would but it depends on Polycom releasing a proper tested firmware for 3CX. Ball is completely in their court. From our side we are ready to go.
- Phonebook improvements - yes something we are considering.
- No plans to connect to Microsoft Teams. Teams is not that open and anyway wants to be a phone system in its next life. We did consider being a simple trunk in teams but it was rejected by Microsoft because they want to be the phone system themselves.
I just wanna say that having multiple phonebooks IS something necessary for many PBX, hotels or not. We lost a few sales because of basic stuff like that 3CX can't do... like changing the ringtone of the new DesktopApp.Why? You can have one company phonebook for the whole hotel. Many hotels use 3CX
If you are going to use PMS integration and a device that can show the phonebook this could lead to issues with a Guest being able to see another Guest name. Why? You can have one company phonebook for the whole hotel. Many hotels use 3CX
If we could hide some extensions from the phonebook, either via groups or something like that, I think it would be a good middle ground. But i think we disable that, and only have the company phonebook in which you would list the room service etc
I tested a minute ago via webclient against a checked in guest extension on a prod system and could see all other extensions that I would expect to see.But i think we disable that, and only have the company phonebook in which you would list the room service etc
There is a setting in the Hotel Integration to select groups of "Rooms". I don't know if it does what you want, I never used it.In v14 you would set groups that were guest extensions (maybe it was wakeup call related?) but I think that left in v15. I don't know anything specific you do to mark an extension as guest - maybe I've missed a step here?
Ah, there it is. That's what I was remembering but couldn't locate again. There is a setting in the Hotel Integration to select groups of "Rooms". I don't know if it does what you want, I never used it.
Yeah using PMS integration and guests are able to see other guests, issue is that if we hide the extensions from the phonebook, when the Guest service center calls a guest it doesn't show the name, thus the need to have separate phone books, one for Guests one for Admin staff. If you are going to use PMS integration and a device that can show the phonebook this could lead to issues with a Guest being able to see another Guest name.
Many hotels use non-IP phones with ATAs for guest rooms so it's not a problem (we usually have something by Teledex in place and then use Grandstream GWX ATAs)
That is the group that PMS messages are sent to.There is a setting in the Hotel Integration to select groups of "Rooms". I don't know if it does what you want, I never used it.
Hi!Good day 3CX team!
First of all i want to wish you all the best in new 2022 year , wish more improvements in 3CX Phone System !
As you know , all contacts saved in 3CX Personal Phonebook show in Reporting -> Call logs with Full Name and Phone Number
But i could not see Full Names with Phone number for 3CX System Users Mobile phones when i try to call to some users mobile number
I see just a Phone number without bind user Full name could you fix it in feature updates.
You can emulate this situation just callling to 3CX user Mobile Number ( not 3CX extension number ) and review call log
Founded in 2005, when VoIP was an emerging technology, 3CX has gone on to establish itself as a global leader in business communications.
