Hi everyone, I recently switched a group of phones from using a Call Queue to using a Ring Group and now the ringtone is incorrect. After the switch, the phones started using Ring2 (double ring) instead of Ring1. I've tried reprovisioning the phones, switching to another ringtone and then switching back, factory resetting the phones. Nothing seems to work. On the provisioning tab, both the Default Ringtone and the Call Queue Ringtone have always been set to Ring 1. I had a user onsite confirm that settings on the phone even say Ring 1. Any idea what could be happening here or where I should look next?

Thanks!

It appears there is an issue updating the "external" ringer on the phones.

Hi,

This is expected behavior. If you call your ringtone from an internal extension then you will notice that you get the normal ringtone.

Your selected ringtone applies to everything except queue calls, and external calls.

Queue calls can be configured per phone, but external calls are hardcoded.

I thought Ring Groups use the default ringtone which is Ring 1. How do I change the default ringtone for external calls?

Strange. Ring1 sounds way more like what one would expect an external call to sound like whereas Ring2 sounds more like an internal call. I guess my only option is to go back to using Call Queues?
