We have a 3CX Enterprise v.16.0.4.504 installation and some Yealink T58A devices with the correct latest firmware and auto provisioned. When an extension goes to a DND mode, we can see the status on the 3CX softphones, but not on the Yealink T58 IP phones. But when someone is occupied (in talk), we see the red icon in Yealink IP phones.

I did my research, but I couldn’t find a real answer or a solution to that problem. I read several threads, but I had no luck so far.

Here are some of the relevant threads:

I also read in a thread that some settings could be applied in the provisioning template, so I followed also this post (https://www.3cx.com/community/threa...ate-used-by-existing-phone.45671/#post-184556), but again, couldn’t make it work.

Does anyone know how could we fix that problem with the DND status shown on the BLF buttons?

Hi,

Statuses (or presence) are not reflected on deskphones, only the 3CX clients can use presence because this is not a SIP function, but a proprietary 3CX function.

Do not confuse status presence with BLF though, the BLF color can only show that the extension is either idle, rigning, or busy. This is not reflective of status/presence, its the current extension's SIP call state.

Hi John,

Thank you very much for the quick respond.

So, there is no possibility this presence to be shown on the IP phones. Not on any IP phone or just on Yealink IP phones?

Hi,

No, because its a proprietary function built for the 3CX clients, it's not a SIP message that can be passed to an IP phone. BLF call state of course works as you have already noted.
