Configuring Jabra Headsets

Introduction

The users of the 3CX Phone System can use Jabra headsets in order to answer/end calls, adjust volume levels, and mute/unmute calls. Volume and mute control features depend on the capabilities of the headset you are using. Follow the steps outlined below to configure the headset with 3CX.

Download and Install Jabra Direct Setup

  1. Download the Jabra Direct Setup.
  2. Install setup and press launch.
  3. Connect your Jabra device to get started. This will check if you require a firmware update.
  4. Your device is now ready to be configured as an audio device in the 3CX Web Client and Softphone for Windows.

Configure your 3CX Web Client to Use Jabra

  1. Launch your 3CX Web Client or 3CX Windows Softphone.
  2. Navigate to “Settings” > “Audio/Video” > “Headset integration” and select “Jabra” from the drop-down menu.
  3. Click “Connect headset”, choose your headset from the pop-up box, and click “Connect”.
  4. Ensure you see the green “Headset ready” confirmation message.
  5. Change your microphone and speaker settings in the above drop-down menus.

Note: The microphone and speaker have to be set to your Jabra device. Ringing can be set to any desired device.
