How to Configure Gigaset DECT Series

Gigaset N610, N670, N770, N870

Step 1: Enable DHCP (All In One) Mode

  1. Press and hold the base station button for 10 seconds until all LEDs switch off, then release the button.
  2. Press the base station button to cycle through the LED modes until both LEDs become blue.
  3. Press and hold the base station button until you see both lights turn red, then release.
  4. The device might take up to 5 minutes to reboot and will come online as “Integrator/DECT Manager and Base” with factory default settings.

Step 2: Upgrade the Gigaset N610, N670, N770 and N870 IP PRO DECT Phones to the Required Firmware

The latest supported firmware version can be downloaded from here. The minimum supported firmware version is 2.66 To update the firmware follow these steps:

  1. Point your web browser to your device’s IP address.
  2. In the “Settings”, navigate to “System” > “Firmware”.
  3. Press “Browse”, then select the firmware file you have downloaded.
  4. Press “Upload”, check the “Immediately” option, then press “Set” to start the firmware upgrade.

Step 3: Add Gigaset IP PRO DECT Base in 3CX

  1. Go to “Admin > Voice and Chat”.
  2. Click on “+Add DECT/FXS”.
  3. Select your model and enter the device’s MAC address then click ”Next”.
  4. Select the provisioning method according to your installation type:
  1. If your instance is in the cloud or outside of the office, choose “Connect via SBC / router phone” and choose the one local to your device, then click “Next”.
    Important: The “Router Phone” or SBC must already be up and running.
  2. If your installation is on-premises, choose “Local LAN / VPN” and choose your system FQDN or local IP, then click “Next”.

 Step 4: Assign Users to the Handsets

  1. Now you need to assign the users to handsets.
  2. Click on “Add DECT Base Station” to save your settings. You will be able to assign more users after the set-up.

Step 5: Enter the Provisioning Link in the Gigaset DECT Base Web Interface

  1. A pop-up window will appear with the “Provisioning URL”. You need to copy this URL
  2. Point your web browser to your device’s IP address.
  3. In the “Settings”, navigate to “System” > “Provisioning and configuration”.
  4. Enter the “Provisioning Link” URL into the “Provisioning server” field.
  5. Click “Set”, then “Start auto configuration”.

Step 6: Register the Gigaset Handset & Assign to Users

Supported Gigaset handsets: Gigaset SL800H, Gigaset S700H, Gigaset R700H, Gigaset SL750H Pro, Gigaset R650H Pro, Gigaset S650H Pro, Gigaset R630H Pro (EOL), Gigaset SL610H Pro (EOL), Gigaset S510H Pro (EOL).

  1. Now, navigate to the “Mobile Devices” > “Administration” page.
  2. All the users’ extensions you assigned during the Step 3, will be listed here. Click the edit icon next to each extension.
  3. Set the “RegStatus” field to “To register” and click the “Register now” button.
  4. Go back to “Mobile Devices” > “Registration Centre” and click the “Start now” button.
  5. Press the “Register” button on the handset and enter the PIN code (default is 0000) to confirm the handset registration.
  6. Repeat the steps for all extensions you wish to assign a Handset.

Known Limitations

These phones cannot be used from a remote location directly (STUN), as these limitations apply:

  • No STUN Support (only SBC Support possible)
  • No Full CTI Support (Make Call Only)
  • No LCD Language Provisioning
  • No 3CX Firmware Management
  • No support for Paging Groups (incl. Multicast)
