Following the release of the new 3CX Android App, we have received plenty of positive feedback from the community, and some valid queries about the new functionalities.
The 3CX Android App is optimized for Android 10 and latest OS. This version which completely replaces the old app, features a redesigned User Interface (UI), and is packed with new features and functions.

Why do I get an error stating V16 is required?
If you received an error message stating that your new App only works with V16, fear not! The version number refers to the 3CX Phone System version and not the App version.
What if I don't want my contact lists combined?
The application requires the user to grant permission to the local Contact List of the phone. This so that it can combine Company Phonebook, the Extension User’s Personal Phonebook, and Personal Device Phonebook. At the moment the app asks for permission each time you open the contact list. In the next update your preference will be saved and applied.
Other Queries Explained:
Group Sessions: We wanted to present a cleaner look, so it is no longer possible to view the Extension Groups from the presence view.
Voicemail Access: We may revert to allowing a user to stream a voicemail, rather than calling the main voicemail system number.
Controlling PUSH (BYOD): The option “Exit - Ignores PUSH” has been removed. We have added many more intuitive ways on how to control your availability instead. Read the FAQ to find out more about manual and automatic switching of profiles, and silent mode.
Android 10 - Notifications: Users already on Android 10 (Hello Pixel!) will see that the call screen is represented as a notification message while the device is unlocked. If you don’t get a notification simply uninstall and reinstall the app.
Auto-Start on Reboot: Read the FAQ for a list of known devices which starts the app in the background, after rebooting the device.
Account Switching / Disabling: The new v16 application uses a new way to switch or disable the current account. Find out more.
