A Free Entry Point for Hobbyists and Micro-Setups

With the arrival of the Basic Edition, we can also announce that we will introduce an entry-level FREE 4 Simultaneous Call variant of the Basic Edition tailored for hobbyists, tinkerers and the smallest micro-setups.

This free product will be specifically designed to be easily managed and sufficiently served by our Web Client and Mobile Apps, bypassing the need to set up traditional SIP phones. This streamlined approach will eliminate the additional tasks and complexity associated with configuring hardware desk phones, making it the perfect starting point for individuals and tiny teams to experience the power of modern VoIP communications.

It also provides a simple and practical way for schools, training centers and IT classrooms to demonstrate how a PBX and VoIP system works in real life, without cost or complex infrastructure.

Downgrades from 4SC PRO to Free Basic Edition

Partners and Customers who opt not to renew their existing 4SC PRO license will have the option to downgrade to a Free 4SC Basic. However, as 4SC Basic is not eligible for Hosting, if you choose to move to 4SC Basic, you must be prepared to self-host the system, either on-premise or in the cloud. Look out for our guide to migrate from 3CX Hosted to Self-hosted, as well as the blog explaining downgrades in more detail - coming soon.
