Update: V15.5 is no longer available. Download the latest version here. Following the BETA of V15.5 Update 1, the final release of this update is now available. The BETA was received extremely well and we appreciate all the feedback you provided! In the BETA we included: expanded IP Phone configuration options, easier configuration and troubleshoot...

I take this comment back.. LLDP seems to be an integral part in how IP Addressing can be obtained WHEN YOU HAVE CISCO DEVICES in your network...

We can quickly enable the option and issue another release of the template. Let me check and see why we disabled it. I think it caused some issues in VLAN.. Let me check and get back to you.
This isn't just a Cisco feature, LLDP is available on most (if not all) SME/Enterprise switches. It's used by lots of people so turning this off unexpectedly will cause people issues.

The reason we disabled LLDP is because of VLAN

Customers with option 132 enabled, had the network conflicts.

We are going to do the following:
Enable LLDP
Upload a new template
Download and re-provision.
I've never managed to get 132 working on YealinkT42G phones. Has anyone else managed this?

Ran into this issue as well. If we download the new template will it automatically apply or do we need to manually set the vlan on the wan port of the phones? We are using HP switches which uses Auto Voice VLAN which I am assuming uses LLDP as well.

If you need VLAN Tagging you have to test and most probably you need to disable LLDP - check here.

We are going to make LLDP an option in the Management console - Like this admins can choose to enable disable.

Agreed - We have uploaded a new template with LLDP Enabled.
It will download automatically or go and download the template manually from the updates. Reprovision any phones that were provisioned with the previous template. LLDP will be enabled.

If you intend to use VLANS then you might need to disable it.

We use LLDP on non-cisco switches. It allows you to access the extended information about all devices connected to the switch so when you use a network topology tool you can quickly see the devices that are connected to the endpoints. The switches also make smart decisions based upon the information returned using LLDP - e.g. whether to run as an edge or trunk port for RSTP, VLAN and priority provisioning, connected device name etc.

Most larger networks will make use of LLDP/CDP for their system maps and auto provisioning on newer equipment I would suggest.

Agreed - we uploaded template now. and will make this as an option in sp2.

Nicky,

This is awesome to hear that you updated the templates for yealink phones to enable LLDP. Can you guys update the Yealink T5x templates as well.

Actually this LLDP option is the one of the main reasons why we use custom templates. We need it to be disabled so since you re enabled it I hope you will release SP2 very soon and add this as an option.

CALL DEFLECTION MISSING
Would you re-enable call forwarding with '302 diversion header' feature again, or customers have to stick to v.14, instead of upgrading to v.15.5 ?

Good news. It is confirmed and set to be included in the next update. SP2 will have it in the management console and the clients will follow shortly after. Many users asked for this.
Please bear with us a little while longer. Thanks

Yes we understand that some people need it on and others off.

We will add the option in sp2. By default we will ship ON like the factory. Then you will toggle.

possible bug... go into your voicemail and record your greeting. mess up your greeting and push 1 to re-record. the system will barf and dump you back to the menu. this also happens on recording your name option 5.

Yes we have Option 132 working with Yealink phones and HP Procurve switches. Phones DHCP from default VLAN and then switch to VOIP VLAN.

Hi, I need to understand what is now working and not working as far as Hotel functionality is concerned with 15SP1.
We are currently on v14SP3 with Hotel Module. I know that 15 does not need a separate module or interface. I keep waiting to upgrade only to find existing functionality missing from 15 releases. I have been reading the release notes and forum posts but am still confused about the features.

We require at a minimum before upgrading....
1. PMS Maid Status configurable from Hotel phones via 3CX PMS integration. I gather this should be working now ?
Does upgrading from 14SP3 to 15SP1 configure/upgrade the Maid Status Digital Receptionist and IVR or do they need to be manually setup after the upgrade ?
2. The ability for our Reception/Front of House staff to set Wake-Up calls (reminders) for guests from either the 3CX or Web client without 3CX Admin rights. Not sure on this one.

We would like..
1. Ability for guests to set their own wake-up calls (reminders) from their Hotel room extension.
2. Notifications sent reception/Front of House staff identifying whether the wake-up calls succeeded or not. This is important so that we can follow up with the guest if needed.
3. A Hotel Interface either built into the web client or accessible as a separate page for staff to manage the two items above similar to v14.

The Hotel functionality is very important to us so I hope I can get the answers I need thanks.

giwm,

The group voicemail seems to have had two interpretations. One is to voice mail blast multiple users and the other for multiple uses to share a single voice mailbox. What was delivered was a voice mail blast. I'm in the other camp whereas I wanted to have a shared voicemail box whereas multiple users could work to "empty the queue" of voice mails.

Hi,
There is a bug when adding a new extension, it displays in field extension "000" and in Authentication ID something random "25s374c" which is inacceptable. Especially when we use the import AD for 200 users.
Please fixe the issue
Thank you

Why not acceptable?
As an extra security measure, we decided that the Authentication ID does not need to be equal to the extension number anymore. (That was in the old times when IP Phones had this problem and auth id and user in some models had to be equal.) But now these bugs are ironed out by the phone manufacturers and they can support authentication ID different than user id's.

Why do you see this as a bug? can you give me more info?
