Hello,

We are running the latest 15.5 SP6. PRO licenses on our 3cx servers.
Our 3cx offices are interconnected using Bridges.
Sometimes, users report that they cannot see contacts from other offices on the Switchboard of their 3cx client.
Say for example that 3cx-01 does not see contacts from 3cx-02.
As a workaround we are doing the following:

Go in 3cx-01 under Bridges - - > Select the 3cx-02 bridge - - > Presence and bounce (Disable/Enable) the "Receive Information (PRO)" option.

Wireshark traces show that when this is done, an SSL communication takes palce between the two bridges, which makes sense, as each 3cx server uses port 5001 of the remote 3cx in order to receive Contact information.
I can only assume that behind this SSL communication there is a SIP PUBLISH message with the contacts.

So, my questions would be:
1. How often do 3cx bridges exchange such message (SIP PUBLISH) between one another?
2. Any idea why the remote office's (Bridge's) contacts might be lost every once in a while?

IMPORTANT UPDATE: The office that loses the contacts, is facing routing/reachability issues every once in a while. I guess the question drops down to "after how many attempts or under which circumstances, does 3cx back off and stops publishing its contacts to another bridge?"

Thank you,
George

Please close this one.
Asymmetric routing has been causing issues with TCP packets.
TCP is used to securely (port 5001) advertise Contacts between bridges, and this is why the issue was taking place.

Hi George, thanks for updating the thread
