I just upgraded/graduated to Pro early (Was an old standard customer) to allow me to change our main incoming number to distributed Hunt, rather than prioritised (one user always gets the calls first and we rarely receive 2 calls at once)

However i don't seem to have the option? I notice I now have call queues, so the upgrade worked, but these require users to "log in" to them, which wasn't a thing they had to do before and is a level of complexity we don't want to add, because they won't log in and therefor calls won't get answered, these users are office staff with jobs that aren't "answer the phones" they just have to handle external calls as well.

Call Queues that users are *ALWAYS* logged into would be sufficient if that's possible?

If the users never log out, they'll stay logged in to the queue.

You can use statuses to make sure they're logged in on Available and logged out when on DND.

ahh perfect, ok, thank you!

Is there an automated way to log users back into a queue every day or something? so they can't log out and then forget for weeks? I see the "log out of queue" on Away and DND but I don't see a "log into queue" on available,

Also is there a way to get a ringing tone rather than hold music for external callers? or do I just need to find/make a .wav of the correct sound?

edit: Is there an extended sound pack with useful things like this posted to the forums or anything?

On available, just don't check the "logout from queues".

Then, in the Webclient Admin, under Users > the user > Schedule, you can make it so that the user goes back to available automatically based on office hours. This will log then out automatically at the end of the day (they can always relogin manually by putting them to Available.)

how does that work with if they use the "log out of queues" on the status dropdown?

this is wording from the guide "However, it will NOT override explicit queue logouts."

If they use that, the autoswitch will not log them back in to queues. They need to use the statuses.

That being said, you can use Available 2 as a "available but not in queues" but checking the "logout from queues" for that status.

oh wow ok, so to actually do the explicit log-out, they would have to find that queues part and log themselves out of just that one queue? cool I don't think I'll have to worry about that,

what happens when they "log out of queues" from their status menu on the dialer?

It's a global logout/login for all queues.

However, for example, if they are logged in globally but explicitly logged out of one queue, when they logout and then login globally, it won't relog them in to the explicitly logged out queue.

yea I got that bit, that's what concerned me might happen, but if it's not easy for them to explicitly log out of a queue it's unlikely :-) Thanks for your help with this
