Hi Guys

The problem is that i can make outbound calls but i cannot make inbound calls from public telephone network.
The log is below (Verbose):

12/04/2019 11:12:10 AM - [CM503013]: Call(C:4): Incoming call rejected, caller is unknown; msg=Invite-IN Recv Req INVITE from 172.25.255.167:5060

what is the difference between "...Call(C:4) ..." and "...Call(C:39)..." for example ?

3CX Version : 16.0.461
Server OS: Debian 9.9 on a VM on Hyper-V
We have dedicated IP link with the Telecom provider with Sip Trunk
I'm not sure that they have Firewall on their side
eht0 - connected to the internet
eth1 - trunk connection with the telecom provider

What else do you need ? maybe i have missed something

Hi,

If the call cannot be identified by the system, it will be rejected. You should start by sharing some basic details like here https://www.3cx.com/community/forums/3cx-phone-system-general.1/

Unsupported providers need to be configured manually, especially the Inbound Parameters. Your provider should be able to give the correct settings to enter there in order for calls to be identified.

Note: please do not post logs that contain personal info and IPs

Thank you about deleting sensitive data but i'm desperate here.

i do not have that kind of deep support from the telecom provider. i Would need to find the solution by my self. Can you give me general guidance how to set up the Inbound Parameters by my self.

is there any possibility for the problem that i'm using a trial license?

No the license is not a problem, so don't worry about that. If you are familiar with WireShark, you can figure it out by yourself by running a capture to see what the provider sends, and in which fields.

Then you can use this article here that explains how 3CX does source identification, so you can match the fields of your provider accordingly in the Inbound parameters. The flowchart ends in "call rejected" which is what is happening to you now. Read the below and adjust accordingly:
https://www.3cx.com/docs/sip-trunk-inbound-calls/

  1. Ok, i'm using SIP Trunk which is IP Based so i assume that "Call Source Identification" should be selected ?
  2. if I'm right on the first question than i need to match the different values from the two choices offered but i do not understand which value/parameter to match with another one....

I have no knowledge what is, for example, "To: Display Name" is this value from the INVITE Message send by the telekom provider or it is a parameter of 3XC ?

can you provide some http link where i can understand this kind of values that are in the "Call Source Identification" section ?

These are referring to standard SIP fields when you are inspecting an INVITE for example, and this requires some basic knowledge of standard SIP protocol. Linked in the article I sent you, there is a section on rinstance which links here https://www.3cx.com/docs/sip-trunk-registration-authentication/ and this can give you a better idea on what these fields are with the explanations included.

You might also be able to hire a 3CX Partner (quite a few of which are also active on the forum) and they can help you to set it up. https://www.3cx.com/ordering/find-reseller/
